And here we are folks!
Second in a series of planned Halo redesigns.
Winner of the previous poll, the marine from Halo 3. Tied with the army from Halo Reach they are my favourites.
My goal was to make them really combat-ready in this case.
Halo's marines in general always seemed to me too under-equipped for what they were going to do. With the exception of halo reach we see them in armor and without (or with a few small) pockets to carry the equipment for a fight.
So I started looking at the original concepts of the Marines for H3 made by Isaac Hannaford along with the ones we see in the short film Halo Landfall.
The distinctive helmet returns to its original color and I have removed the large reinforcing plate for this marine. The big addition to this is the way of him being strapped directly to the chin guard instead of under the chin.
The armor with the classic olive green color has a large Molle harness on the abdomen to allow the attachment of everything needed for combat, and under this the armor vest.
At the tactical belt we find other equipment and ammunition for the sidearm which is securely attached to the thigh armor.
The weapon is a new version of the BR 55, in this I have "covered" the barrel with a "flash hider" which brings its shape closer to the AR. (Maybe there will be new weapon redesigns??)
And that makes him a heavy Marine to all intents and purposes.
What do you think?
I hope you enjoyed the work.
Take care!!

Sweet piece.
One thing I've always thought weird about certain sci-fi armor designs has been the shin-guards, I've always thought it doesn't really make sense for future infantry compared to armor to the upper legs because a soldier will have an easier time surviving injuries to the lower leg than the upper.
Also armor for the upper armor should be easier to walk around on the wearer especially if there is no powered shenanigans since you can attach them to the hips.
